Collapse Silk and Wool Scarf
This silk scarf is woven by hand in my London studio.
It is woven using the helix pattern, with undyed silk and merino in the warp. The weft is a fine wool which collapses making the scarf stretchy and giving it a crinkly appearance.
There is a plain weave silk boarder at each end of the scarf which flairs out as it falls into gathers.
Hand wash gently, in warm water with wool wash. Dry flat and reshape whilst damp. Only the boarder at either end needs Ironing on a silk or steam setting. Do not iron the main body of the scarf.
