Colour and Texture I - Woven wall art piece

This handwoven artwork is a composition with silk in the warp and Donegal wool in the weft. The wool is spun in the traditional Donegal method creating flecks in the yarn. The sequence of squares and the stripes in the weaving form rhythms on the bands of weft colours. Woven on a silk warp with wool in the weft that create textures within the weave.

This composition is one of a pair. They can be sold individually or as a pair.

Stretched over a deep 4 cm canvas the squares appear also on the sides of the piece.
The piece is signed on the back and has D-rings for hanging directly on the wall.
